Cooking Club
PRIMARY COOKING CLUB: This year come join us in the kitchen for HUNGRY PLANET - Cooking Around the World. The students will gain social awareness and experience geography first hand as we explore the globe through food. Club member will cook with new and interesting ingredients such as yucca and banana leaves. Come make peo de queijo from Brazil, chana masala from Pakistan, and so much more. Learn the names of countries you didn't know existed AND taste new and exciting things. Think about different cultures while developing cooking skills too. This club is open to students grades 3-6.
ABOUT THE TEACHER
SUZANNE GLANN
Before becoming a stay-at-home mom, I taught preschool and first grade in Denver, Colorado. We moved to New York twenty-six years ago and I pursued my graduate education at SUNY Brockport, studying Elementary Education.
My husband and I have six children - two are grown, three are teens, and one just entered his double digits. For the past seven years, I have been involved in a variety of home school co ops in the Rochester area, creating and teaching classes for children of all ages.
When I’m not in the car, driving my children to jobs and activities, I enjoy spending time with my 3 dogs, my birds, gardening, and cooking.
